Envy
Envy is green of all tones.
A swirl of confused emotion,
Of believing you have nothing,
And of wanting it all.
Resentment at it’s peak.

Gluttony
Gluttony is sweet and saccharine.
Misshapen compulsions in
Honeyed tones of yellow and gold.
Basks on a lake of sugared pink,
The epitome of excesses.

Greed
Greed, a seemingly endless spiral
In a myriad of colours,
Satisfied not simply with one.
The centre of all selfishness.

Lust
Lust is shades of pink.
Mistaken so often for feelings of love
But always bright,
With flames of passion.
Sin of ultimate desire.

Pride
Pride is purple,
Regal and royal.
Moving in self-centred circles
Sin of the supreme ego.

Sloth
Sloth drifts in waves of blue.
An all consuming haze,
Engulfing clouds of lethargy.
The pinnacle of indolence.

Wrath
Wrath burns in shades of red.
Both bright and vivid,
With the fires of rage.
And dark, sinister,
Filled with silent malice.
