Because I need a journal update

  • Reading: Every which way but dead and HBP
Yeah my last entry was getting kind of old so thought I'd do a new one.

So two yays, one I've been here for two years now and another a while back I reached 10k pv so yays again :D

And now to business, I have lately be wholly uninspired away from RPing and a fanfic I've been working on for sometime, everything else kind of starts and goes nowhere. However I do want to do a few new visual pieces and have some ideas so hopefully while occupied with that my writers muse may return.

Bored, random useless updatey thingy!

Thu Jun 11, 2009, 4:36 AM
  • Mood: Hungry
  • Reading: OOTP
  • Eating: Don't mention food I'm hungry!
  • Drinking: nothing, but a coffee wouldn't go amiss
Soo yeah I'm working, it's quiet (and I kinda hope it stays this way) and so I thought I write a random useless updatey thing that will probably not interest anybody (probably not even me :D )

- I've still not started work on new chapters of either of my stories yet (Broken Dawn and Hells Rayne) but I promise I will just as soon as I get a couple of other things out of the way that have been bugging me.

- I need some new ideas for some psychedelic pieces, or collages as I've not done nor submitted any of those in an age.

- I'm planning to write a brother (or sister if you like) to my poem 'Sadist' Being of course titled 'Masochist' because I thought it would be fun :D It is in the pipeline but nothing down yet till the REAL inspiration hits me.

- On totally unrelated to art news I finally completed Mass Effect on Insanity mode, much jumping around in excitement. Though now it's kind of sucky having to wait nearly a year for the new one to come out.

Yeah that is about all, see random and pointless :XD:

Oh additional, if you're a horror writer then check out this contest [link] could be worth an entry, open to both poetry and prose!

READING/BOOK MEME stolen from :iconpaintedbluerose:

1) What author do you own the most books by?
Either Laurell K Hamilton or Terry Pratchett

2) What book do you own the most copies of?
Winnie the Pooh and House at Pooh corner (have about 3 copies of each)

3) Did it bother you that the first two questions ended in prepositions?
Ummm no.

4) What fictional character are you secretly in love with?
Ahhh soo many, um Jean-Claude and Jason from the Anita Blake Series, Kisten in the Rachel Morgan books and Lucivar in Daughter of the Blood (the book was pretty crappy yet I’m still lured to read it more than once)

5) What book have you read the most times in your life?
I actually have no idea…I’ve got quite a few I’ll read over and over and then others that I’ve read once and will probably never pick up again.

6) What was your favorite book when you were ten years old?
Jerrfery Strangeways by Jill Murphy (I so gotta buy me a copy of that it rocked!)

7)What is the worst book you’ve read in the past year?
Oooh ummm….I’m not sure actually, if I don’t get into a book I tend to just put it down and not read anymore of it.

8) What is the best book you've read in the past year?
That’s another difficult one….

9) If you could force everyone you tagged to read one book, what would it be?
The Colour of Magic, great way in to the world of Terry Pratchett

10) Who deserves to win the next Nobel Prize for literature?
Dunno

11) What book would you most like to see made into a movie?
Guilty Pleasures and then the rest of the Anita Blake series

12) What book would you least like to see made into a movie?
Not sure.

13) Describe your weirdest dream involving a writer, book, or literary character.
Ahhhh probably should write that down :D

14) What is the most lowbrow book you've read as an adult?
The Gruffalo, and the other books by those authors. I was reading it to children mind you and they are actually really good kids books.

15) . What is the most difficult book you’ve ever read?
Tess of the D'urbervilles, could not get into it at all.

16) What is the most obscure Shakespeare play you've seen?
I’ve not seen very many…um probably Taming of the Shrew.

17) Do you prefer the French or the Russians?
French I suppose

18) Favorite Genre:
Horror/Fantasy

19) Shakespeare, Milton, or Chaucer?
Shakespeare

20) Austen or Eliot?
Austen.

21) What is the biggest or most embarrassing gap in your reading?
Can’t really remember…

22) What is your favorite novel?
Too many to choose from

23) Plays?
Most things by Shakespeare, but Othello, Midsummer Nights Dream and Macbeth in particular.

24) Poem?
Jumping on The Raven bandwagon, but Annabel Lee is also very beautiful

25) Essay?
None in particular, don’t really read them.

26) Short story?
Don’t know…

27) Work of non-fiction?
Something on a subject that interests me!

28) Science Fiction?
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy :D

29) Who is your favorite writer?
Close call between Terry Pratchett and Laurell K Hamilton

30) Who is the most overrated writer alive today?
I’d have to go with Stephanie Myer, I’ve never read the Twilight books but I’ve heard so many things about them, both good and very bad it kinda puts me off reading them at all. And as I adore the Harry Potter books it’s gotta be Stepahnie

31) What book did you love as a child/adolescent that you now think is overrated?
Don’t know

32) What is your desert island book?
Can I have the harry potter series in one big volume??

33) And ... what are you reading right now?
Goblet of Fire and Dead Witch Walking.
